Direct restorations (fillings or dental fillings) can be completed in a single appointment using materials such as amalgam (gray) or composite (white). Conversely, conventional indirect restorations entail multiple appointments because they require collaboration between the dentist and a laboratory technician for the creation of veneers, inlays, crowns, or bridges
